It was to the disbelief of many patients and nurses at the John F. Kennedy Hospital on Tuesday when a patient seriously sick was arrested after stealing US$75.00(Seventy five United States dollars) from a nurse.
Tarweh Jallah had gone to the hospital for treatment following a swollen head disease. According to security sources at the compound, Jallah went at the hospital without any money to even register.
“When he sat down, he did not have any money. So, knowing the condition of him, the nurses felt sorry for him and decided to rally around to get money to register him, eh source said.
Jallah, the security source said, sat down quietly and started steering at all the nurses and other patients.
According to the source, “one of the nurses left the money-US$75,00(Seventy five dollars) in a draw. Only Jallah alone was there. When the nurse left to get his chart from outside, he went into the place and took the money.”
When the nurse returned to take delivery of the money, there was noting. She asked Jallah if he ever took it or saw someone in the room, the source said.
But the source added, “Jallah denied and even called God name. When he called God name, the nurses became reluctant and concluded that he was not the one.”
But still not satisfied, the source said, a security at the compound decided to further do a thorough search on Jallah before he left the premises.
“When the security took him into the bath room, he was asked to undress. He did. The security was convinced that Jallah did not take the money. But the security, the source said, being an ex-military officer, asked him to further search his private parts.
“My man, behold, behold, Jallah stocked the wrapped money in his anus. The security decided to take it from there slowly. When the security took it, he was shame and the head doctor at the hospital told them to escort him out of the gate.” The source concluded.
“Your man folded the money and placed it in his anus after he wrapped scathe tape around it.”
