(L-R) Atty. Joseph Kollie, LIFRA Boss, Musa Bility LFA

The President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) has admitted to being in serious indebtedness to the Liberia Football Referee Association (LIFRA).

“I t is true we owe LIFRA US $18,000.00 but will be paid before the kickoff of the 2012/2013 National league season,” Musa Bility revealed, but noted that the football house was in negotiation with LIFRA officials to enable them carry on their job as partner of the FA.

The apparent for the indebtedness of the LFA to LIFRA is due to the inability of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to settle its debt to the LFA as well, which if done, he said they will be in the position to pay LIFRA.

“The Ministry of Youth and Sports is yet to pay the FA money owed after mandating us to use our own funding on the team. If the Ministry reimburses us, we will settle all those FA indebted to,” Bility said.

Members of the LIFRA, in recent weeks, have been decrying the LFA’s to give them their indemnity, since the end of the first of the 2011/2012; members of LIFRA have not taken pay.
