Bility and President Sirleaf, Debbah and President Sirleaf

The Chief Patron of sports of Liberia, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is said to be between the scissors as the Liberia Football Association election expected in 2014 Harper, Maryland County draws nearer.

The latest pronouncement by the Nation’s most celebrated soccer star James Debbah had made known two known candidates for the presidential race and is believed to have left the President in a dilemma; reason being both candidates supported President Sirleaf in the quest for her 2nd term bid of which she was very much successful.

What will she do, will she call a conference to find a dialogue with the two candidates that will give one of them a chance to contest to enable her play neutral role? Or will the President support both candidates financially?

Will she convince James Debbah to give Bility a chance to get a second term since or Debbah should he be supported since he played the game and know much about it?

These are few of the many questions that will come to the minds of the President when the electoral process.

It won’t be a surprise when one of the known candidates withdraws from the race to give another a chance.

Last month James Debbah declared his intention of the highest seat in the football house of Liberia stating that he has the administrative knowledge and technical knowhow to develop football in Liberia.

Mr. Debbah admitted that he needs the support of his cousin and former national teammate George Weah to unseat Mr. Bility.

But many followers of the game and some supporters of George Weah CDC noted that Debbah comment for Weah support is a mere joke due to the fact that the LFA presidential hopeful strongly opposed the presidential bid of his cousin in 2011 and openly declared his support to the current head of state Madam Sirleaf.

Salisa as he is commonly called has been on the shoulders of Musa Bility saying he’s lack administrative knowledge to lead the LFA.

As part of the celebration of the country’s independence programs, the Liberian leader honored James Debbah for his massive contribution to the country national team.

This maybe a warning shot to the LFA boss that indeed the chief patron of sports is likely to support Debbah in the race.
