If you have not been opportune to have made it back on earth since the troubling and plucky hands of death snatched you away, please beg for time from your masters to enable you come and share your thoughts and experience about existing conditions in your constituency, particularly throwing light on it works on that side of the unseen globe, the supposed best abode everyone should go but is not willing to.
We want to welcome you to another time of experiencing the good and bad ties your nation continues to endure at the hands of the almighty political gurus who paraded themselves in time past as “we are solutionists” to the old wine of politics that dragged Liberia so much in the thick and murky trend of social and economic insanity, wherein a country that suppose to be seen as true leader in all affairs of existence is now the trouble-child going around the world and begging from others what God has blessed with it, forgetting also that some of the people asked do not have what God blessed us with.
Too many years elapsed and too many things eluded us - those should be treated with all forms of dignity as bona-fide owners of the land so much endowed with all natural values but is still lagging because of how others, who, not because of their status of education or wellbeing in society, got the blessing of leading processes that help to refine and purify the setup of governance so that everyone has something to cherish that enables them to feel proud of being a citizen of the country everyone ran to for refuge and relaxation.
We are flabbergasted over the fact that the new political dispensation is so imbued with treachery, labiality, hoodwink, insincerity and, of course, undermining so much so that even the little ones born out of wedlock and good social guidance are playing to the fray only to get their interests served. The harm that is surging so greatly out of the mess of political haggishness is that others, either knowingly or unknowingly, have been put in the arms-way in the name of protecting others who continue to lick their elbows from generally-owned assets.
This should be a big surprise to all of you in the Great Beyond because when the PRC took power in the 1980s at that time some of you were around, it did not only execute those it accused of emptying the national coffers and enriched themselves but also worked so arduously in removing unkempt structures erected in ebullient areas and many thought Doe and his guys were being inhumane in their dealings, in their endeavors to bring about needed social, economic and political uprightness after years of harsh realities of keeping Liberians controlled against their incontrovertible and constitutional rights.
Our fear is that Liberia could miss the goodness of being a world leader in post-conflict transformative governance organization, responding to the concerns of its people, but not necessarily allowing others to use the ‘economically denied and oppressed’ to push the agendas that do not benefit all. You all will agree that the essence of the so-called “people’s uprising” was to change from political depravity to political holiness and from economical insanity to economic healthiness, but what’s obtaining is too noxious for the comfort of the noses.
Great ones, it is so disgusting that Liberians are still finding it hard to get the full potential of capacities that enable them to even life with reality simply because someone who is put in position to play certain does not want to open the corridor, rather they want to stick to the senile system of exclusionism –denying the legitimately owners and encouraging “the visitors” to get the best how of the people’s properties.
Do you care to know why the Konnehs, the Yakpawolos, the Tiaglans, the Targbes, the Marwolos, the Kiehs, the Cheas and the rest of the ordinary names who are now in the driver seat of politic are so callously running the affairs of the country in such an appalling way that denies others from getting what is rightfully theirs? Yes, this is real travesty of the years of struggle for transformation to be able to straighten the path to growth in a truest sense
This is to say that if people can use money that should go toward fabulous national projects that change the shape of the country on private “bullet proof jeeps” for the comfort of a single character, then it beats imagination. Then the question, why did we kill others in the name of creating “a level-plain field” when you are prepared to accept the reality of justice? Total baloney to put it succinctly!
Dearest ones, there is no evaporation in arguments about whether Liberia is getting better and Liberians are getting well-off, but what is certainly clear is that few Liberians, some of the imported ones, are indeed taking the bull by the horns, making sure to retroactively get back what they lost as a result of the murkiness of the system at the time. Because others want to make it to the acme of society, to be counted in the number, stealing from bank and other places of work is now the order of the day. Yet, others say Liberia is getting better. In fact, those who think Liberia is getting better are the ones playing to the beat of cheat and sycophancy. In today’s Liberia, if you do not steal or cheat others, you will not be able to erect a two-room house in the space of one year; it could take you four to five years to do that while it takes others one month to build for their loved ones, some of whom are using official license plates on their private vehicles.
Just to say a little of so many unwarranted things we want to share with you, dearest ones. Thanks for your time. We look forward to your responses.
Thanks and good-bye!
